FIFA 23: FUT, Career Mode, and How to Play Them!

FIFA 23 has many ways to play, but the two biggest and most popular are FIFA Ultimate Team (FUT) and Career Mode. These modes give you completely different experiences, from building a dream team with cards to leading your favorite club to glory!

1. FIFA Ultimate Team (FUT): Build Your Dream Team!

FUT is where you collect player cards to create your ultimate football squad. You compete online and offline to earn rewards and make your team stronger.

• How to Build Your Team (Chemistry is New!):
  • FIFA 23 changed the “Chemistry” system. Now, players link together based on their nation/region, league, or real-life club.
  • Example: If you have two players from England, or two players from the Premier League, or two players from Manchester City, they’ll give each other “chemistry” points. More chemistry makes your team play better!
    
  • This new system makes it much easier to build mixed teams with players from different leagues or countries.
• Ways to Play in FUT:
  • Division Rivals: Play online against other players to climb divisions and earn weekly rewards.
  • FUT Champions (Weekend League): The toughest online competition for the best players, with the best rewards.
  • Squad Battles: Play offline against computer-controlled teams (based on other players’ squads) to earn weekly rewards. Good for practice!
  • FUT Moments (New!): Short, single-player challenges based on real-life football situations. They’re quick to play and give you “FUT Stars” for rewards.
• Getting New Players (Packs & Market):
  • You get new player cards from Packs (bought with FUT Coins or FIFA Points).
  • You can also buy and sell players on the Transfer Market using FUT Coins. Learning the market can help you get good players without spending real money.
• Tips for FUT:
  • Start with Squad Battles and FUT Moments to earn coins and get used to your team.
  • Focus on building a team with good chemistry (at least 28-33 points).
  • Learn to trade on the Transfer Market to earn coins faster.
  • Don’t be afraid to try different formations and players.

2. Career Mode: Live Your Football Dream!

Career Mode lets you either play as a single player or manage an entire club.

• Manager Career:
  • What you do: You pick a club (or create one!) and manage everything: buy and sell players, scout new talent, set up your team’s tactics, train your players, and play matches to win trophies.
  • Playable Highlights (New!): You don’t have to play every minute of every match! You can choose to only play the important moments (like a scoring chance or a defensive play) to save time.
  • Be a Real Manager: You can even choose to manage as a famous real-life manager!
• Player Career:
  • What you do: Create your own player, choose their position, and guide them through their entire career. You’ll play matches, train, deal with media, and try to become a global superstar.
  • Player Personality (New!): Your choices (on the pitch and off the pitch) will shape your player’s personality. This affects your player’s stats and how they develop.
• Tips for Career Mode:
  • Manager: Pay attention to your transfer budget, scout young players (potential is key!), and try different tactics.
  • Player: Focus on your chosen position’s main stats. Complete training drills regularly to improve quickly. Always try to get a good match rating!

3. Pro Clubs & VOLTA FOOTBALL: Play with Friends!

• Pro Clubs:
  • You create one player and join an online team with up to 10 other real players. It’s 11v11! This mode is all about teamwork and communication.
• VOLTA FOOTBALL:
  • Street football with smaller teams and fancy skills. It’s more arcade-style fun, good for showing off your dribbling and custom player.
